Exterior
The Placer Gold (53) exterior is in spectacular condition. Both doors open and shut well and feel great when you close them. The chrome and other bright-work on the car looks fantastic with a bright finish and no pitting. The rally wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash on the beauty rings.
Interior
The Saddle Vinyl (735) interior of the Monte Carlo is in utterly splendid condition. The front bucket seats and rear bench seat look just in person as they do in the photos with no split seams, tears, or excessive wear. The seat is not worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the gauge lenses are crystal clear. The carpet is also in great condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear carpet, which is often neglected. The door panels are in great condition with no cracks or splits and the door pulls are solid and in tact. This car features a modern radio that was made specifically for a 1972 Monte Carlo with a vintage look. Most importantly, the dash has never been cut of modified for the installation. The original package tray looks great with no warping, fading, or sun damage. This is one of the best interiors we have ever seen in person in a Monte Carlo and is a true study of how these cars looked from the factory.
Mechanical
This Monte Carlo is in excellent mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. This Monte Carlo is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Monte Carlo has plenty of power.
